A land of really interesting lampposts

A mostly uneventful day today, but I would love to share some photos from this afternoon.

We took a walk along the Thames, and I couldn't help but notice the interesting collection of lampposts that decorate the city.

It was such a nice feeling to just experience the city, watch the people pass, and overlook the Thames. Of course, being London, it rained - so to properly document the day, my group made sure to get at least one shot with our umbrellas! (Didn't pack the wellies because they would be too heavy in the suitcase - and I would literally have to just wear them every day "just in case." I am pretty sure that rather than a 30% chance of precipitation - as it would imply in America - the % in the weather forecast actually translate as percent of the day it will rain).

And no respectful Ohio State tour group can travel through a foreign city without at least one O-H-I-O photograph! This one is on Tower Bridge.

Just two more random photos including two very interesting sites to see. #1: Trees wrapped in red polka dotted fabric near the Waterloo Underground. Even more strange #2: Turkeys on London Bridge (which is not, in fact, falling down - nor really a site to see at all). The turkeys were apparently with the Worshipful Company of Poulters, one of many at a Guild exhibition we caught the tail-end of on London Bridge. (Tail pun not originally intended).
